I haven't blogged in a while not for the lack of stories and pictures, but for lack of time! Anyways, these are pics I meant to share this summer. Carson honestly doesn't like to be outside because the sun really bothers his eyes and he is so hot natured that being outside when it's hot really makes him uncomfortable. But since we bought him a new swingset we had to get him out on it. The reason that I think these pics are so histerical is because his eyes are shut under those sunglasses! He doesn't realize he can look through them! I guess he thinks his mom just likes to put "blinders" on him! Lol!!!! He enjoyed it anyways "blinders" and all. I love this kid!!!!!!

Sittin' pretty!

I took this picture yesterday and couldn't believe how big Cara's gotten! She is 6 months and is sitting up by herself, trying to crawl, and eating some solid foods now. Wow, where does the time go!!! My beautifull girl is getting so big and onery too! She has such a personality! She can be so mean, throw the biggest tantrums, and wants to play rough all the time. But yet she loves to cuddle and dress up and act all girly too! I have a feeling I am going to have my hands full with this one!!!

Reality!!!

I still after 5 months am in complete shock over moms death. I keep waiting for it to hit me and it hasn't just yet. Sometimes I will sit in the living room and watch out the front door expecting her to walk in for lunch. Or the kids will do something new or funny and I catch myself thinking I can't wait to tell mom what they did. I visit her grave on occation and I don't know if it was harder seeing the mound of fresh dirt or now that it is completely level and covered in grass. The monument co. called and said her headstone was done, so Dave, Erick and I went to see it last night. Its beautifull, exactly what I wanted for her. But seeing her name and picture on it seems unreal. They should be setting it next week, then I think reallity will set in!!!

My big boy!

So, Carson finally got his walker. It's huge, but if he learns to walk then who cares? Anyways, he wants to walk soo bad, he just is having a hard time of it. He got braces for his legs too,(that he hates.) We didn't want to overwhelm him with both on the same day so we just did the walker this week. His physical therapist is standing behind him, shes awesome!! We just have to bribe him with his favorite toys to get him to try to step on his own. The toy in this picture is one of his faves. We kept moving it farther away so he stopped and started using his hands to sign "more" smart kid huh?

Cara vs. Carson

So, my kids are NOT good at sharing!! Carson doesn't want Cara to have his toys and he doesn't want her to have her's either! He's just now getting used to her being around but isn't to hip to the idea of letting her play with or around him. He used to just take toys from her and she didn't know any better but now her little knuckles will be bright white with her grip on the toy she's playing with. Usually he continues until he gets it, he doesn't want it he just throws it to the side, he just doesn't want her to have it either. Now she will kick and scream after he rips toys from her hands and has a couple of times got ahold of his hair (which he couldn't figure out why she was doing it but knew he didn't like it!) Anyways, Carson is standing up in bed now and lost his balance and fell on a toy that resulted in this black eye! I swear I don't beat my kids! I've just been telling everyone that Cara got fed up with him and clocked him!!! ; )

In Memory of My Mother

My sister-in-law Missy called me yesterday almost in tears to tell me she found a field of flowers in memory of my mom. I started bawling thinking of what an awesome memorial for my best friend, my mother. It just so happens that in downtown Kingfisher Virginias Zinnias planted a field of flowers in honor of my mothers life. The field takes up almost a half of a city block! Missy just happened to pass by it and thought it looked awesome and got out of her vehicle to read the sign. Thank goodness she did or else I may have not ever known about this wonderful tribute to an amazing woman that we loved and miss sooooo much!!! It is so sad to think that my mom thought I was her only friend, but in fact everyone she came in contact with loved her so much. My heart is so overwhelmed by this tribute to my mother.

Summer Fun!!!

We decided, even though it takes an army, that we needed to get Carson outside more. Also we don't want Cara thinking that all there is to life is the 4 walls in Carsons room! So we bought them a little pool and swingset that is perfect for them! They were not to sure about the water being cold, since they are only used to warm baths. But they had fun for the short time that it lasted! We've grilled out and had some friends and family over for a few evenings in the pool. It makes me feel like we have a little normalcy in our lives!! And all the work was worth the look on Carson's face!!!

So, I'm new to this and not sure I can actually find the time to blog. But I have so much going on in my CRAZY life that I feel I have so much to share. So bare with me while this somewhat computer illiterate girl tries to figure this all out!!!
